God bless and keep you on your hike! I'm sad I can't get out myself, I have some friends hiking along the North Country Trail in Pennsylvania in June.

Keith,

If you're heading to Wyoming then why not take two days and go through Buffalo, WY. When I was a youth pastor in Buffalo - one of my favorite hikes was to go through the Cloud Peak Wilderness and overnight at Misty Moon Lake. From there - it's an short hike up Bomber Mountain where you can still see the remains of a World War II Bomber.

If you need a guide - I'm planning on taking that hike the last week in July and you're welcome to join me!

Coach-
Congratulations. I am oficially jealous! Remember... 1 bounce dryer sheet at the bottom of a pack goes a long way toward freshness. Almost zero weight and a lot less B.O. I like to keep a couple in my pack in a Ziploc and rotate them from time to time. Not recommended in heavy bear country, unless you are with companions you are sure you can outrun.
Hope you have a great time!!!

Keith - have you ever hiked any of the 46 high peaks of the Adirondacks High Peaks wilderness area in New York state?
If not, you must consider...

I am just about ready to leave for Springer Mountain Georgia after the last minute drying food, packing boxes to ship to country post offices and packing-and-repacking my backpack. Thanks to all of you who were faithful readers this school year. Thanks to those above with ideas for this still other "trails that need hiked." Sometimes in the little "Trail Towns" there are Internet connections--if so I'll look up page and see who passed by. thanks for coming!

May 17... after 21 days of backpacking I'm in "Hot Springs" North Carolina...about 250 miles from Springer Mountain Georgia where we began. Today Burt Webb (who was with us for two weeks) left and Phil Woodbury (with us form the beginning) left for home. Ethan Lennox and I are here for Sunday church and resupply--we head out Monday and our next resupply town is the final one listed--after that we're flying by the seat of our pants until a full month passes by the 27th, 500 miles of trail arrives, or we cross the Virginia line.... then we'll end and hitch home....
